Using NDIS Funding for Psychology Services at Little Insights

At Little Insights, many families access support through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Although we are not a registered NDIS provider, clients may still use their NDIS funding to claim psychology services, depending on how their plan is managed.

Claiming and Liaison

  • Families are responsible for managing their own NDIS claims and submissions.

  • Little Insights cannot liaise with the NDIS or plan managers on your behalf, confirm eligibility, or guarantee reimbursement outcomes.

  • We cannot receive payment directly from plan managers or the NDIS.

Plan Management and Eligibility

Plan-Managed Clients

  • Our fees are higher than the NDIS price limits for psychology supports.

  • This means rebates from plan-managed budgets may not cover the full session fee.

  • Families will usually need to pay the gap out-of-pocket.

Self-Managed Clients

  • Many families who self-manage their plans have successfully claimed our invoices in full through their NDIS budgets.

  • Outcomes vary depending on plan structure, so we recommend confirming eligibility before starting therapy.

NDIA-Managed

  • As Little Insights is not a registered NDIS provider, NDIA-managed funding cannot be used for our services.

Private Billing Process

Sessions for families wishing to claim reimbursement from the NDIS at Little Insights are billed privately. This ensures consistency, transparency, and timely receipt issuance for your records.

How it works:

  1. The session fee is paid in full on the day of service via your securely stored card on file.

  2. We issue an itemised paid receipt containing:

    • Client name

    • Service date, duration, and type

    • Clinician name and qualifications

    • Fee amount and item (e.g., Private Psychology Therapy Appointment )

  3. Families then submit the receipt through the NDIS or plan manager for reimbursement.

Budgets and Rebates

We recommend confirming with your plan manager or NDIS representative if and which budget your sessions can be claimed from.

  • You cannot claim both NDIS and Medicare rebates for the same therapy session.

  • If your claim is not approved, Little Insights cannot reimburse or adjust invoices.

Important NDIS Notes

  • Cancellation and payment policies are identical for all clients.

  • Always confirm with the NDIS or your plan manager:

    • Whether your sessions with Little Insights are claimable,

    • The rebate or budget amount available, and

    • The steps required for claim submission.
